📢 Applications are now open for the King’s Commonwealth PhD Fellowship 2025, a unique opportunity for talented individuals from Small Island Developing States (SIDS) 🌍 to pursue a PhD while continuing their careers.

Supported by His Majesty King Charles III, this program aims to empower future leaders in climate change, education, engineering, and health. Scholars will conduct their PhD in their home country while collaborating with top universities in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the UK.

💰 Financial Benefits

Total GBP 30,000 research funding (GBP 5,000 per year for six years)
International tuition fee waivers for research visits
Access to partner universities' research resources (libraries, databases)
Additional GBP 12,000 research grant (GBP 2,000 per year)
20% salary contribution to employer (helps scholars remain employed)
Dual supervision from home university & partner university
Professional training in leadership, communication, & research grant writing

Eligibility Criteria

Master’s degree (or equivalent research experience)
Enrolled or starting a PhD program in a recognized SIDS university (2025/2026 academic year)
PhD research in one of the four eligible fields
Citizen or refugee status in an eligible Commonwealth SIDS country
