International Summer School 2025 in China | UCAS Summer School

The UCAS International Summer School (UCASISS) 2025 is a funded opportunity for international students passionate about Earth Science. Organized by the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), this year’s theme is “Earth Science for a Shared Future”. The program allows young talents to experience graduate-level education in China and engage in scientific discussions around sustainability, climate change, and environmental challenges.

Hosted by UCAS, in collaboration with the Alliance of National and International Science Organizations (ANSO) and the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), this summer school promotes Open Science and global collaboration. Participants will work with renowned researchers, explore state-of-the-art laboratories, and develop problem-solving skills on some of the world’s most critical environmental issues.

This two-part summer program includes:
📌 7-day online coursework (June 25 – July 1, 2025)
📌 7-day onsite research project (July 5 – July 11, 2025) in China

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the UCAS International Summer School 2025, applicants must:

Be a full-time undergraduate, master's, or doctoral student
Have completed at least two years of undergraduate study by July 2025
Have a background in Earth Science, Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related fields
Have a strong academic record and a genuine interest in cutting-edge Earth Science research
Be fluent in English
Be physically and mentally fit
Follow the rules and regulations of China
