Applications are now open for The Farm 2027 Residency Program in Australia, a fully funded opportunity for visual artists from around the world. This unique residency invites creative individuals to engage with rural landscapes in the southwest of Western Australia and produce work that highlights the connection between art, land, and environment.
The residency will take place over 8 weeks between February and November 2027 at The Farm Margaret River. The program is designed to support artists in developing site-responsive work while contributing to awareness of the region’s rural environment.
This residency offers significant support for artistic and professional development. Selected participants will receive a grant of $15,000 to cover living and project-related expenses. In addition, accommodation and studio space will be provided on-site, and travel costs to and from Margaret River will be covered. Artists will also benefit from mentorship opportunities and connections with local communities and arts organizations.
At the conclusion of the program, the selected artist will present their work to a panel, which may open doors to further funding and collaborations. The final work will also be showcased at a community event, providing valuable exposure and recognition.
